One word: unprofessional.
We ended up with DJ Kris (Neon Sound DJ Service) via DJ Indiana for our wedding and to say we were less than impressed is an understatement. First, this man was given a day of coordinator to run all necessary inquires through on the day of but instead thought it was appropriate to hunt me (the bride) down immediately following my first look with my dad to tell me I couldn't have my grand entrance the way I wanted. Absolutely unprofessional and unwarranted to say the least! The best part was he felt it compelling to tell me he "couldn't have his $1600 equipment outside getting ruined!!!" For anyone curious, it was partly cloudy, 75 degrees, and breezy on our wedding day. After being corrected several times AND given phonetic breakdowns of the names he got pronunciations of names wrong AND called my dad, Rick, ERIC after having been corrected by myself and my dad in the 24 hours prior to the event. He then proceeded to not pay any attention to the timeline we put together for him and tell my husband we needed to wait to do our first dance because he "already had songs lined up" even though we were behind schedule because of him. We had to find him a couple times outside and he thought it was appropriate to come get right in my husband and I's face multiple times immediately following one of his many smoke breaks. He tried blaming the photographer for technical issues he was having and just couldn't take responsibility for any of his own actions. He was unprofessional, rude, and his song choices were very lackluster. I don't recommend him at all. We lodged a complaint with DJ Indiana but couldn't get much of our money back because Kris saw no problems with his inattentiveness or unprofessional behavior and didn't feel he owed us any of the $1275 we paid back. I do still recommend DJ Indiana and DJ Brian (owner) ESPECIALLY knowing DJ Kris has been let go from DJ Indiana. :) We paid for a professional, high quality service but Kris did not deliver. As Kris so astutely pointed out to us, it is time to get out of the DJ business.
