I had been travelling to Greece on holidays since I was 15, and after I was proposed to on the side of a cliff in Kefalonia, decided that we should introduce a few friends to this beautiful island! We knew Fiscardo really well, and what better venue than one that has a view overlooking this picturesque village! When we approached the owner Nicolas and his son Alexandros, they were really enthusiastic, extremely helpful and well organised. We booked the whole taverna for the wedding, had canapes and champagne on the terrace after the ceremony (which was in Argostoli), then dinner, then some great Greek dancing, led by a wonderful example from Nicolas and Alexandros! Next day we had a picnic on Foki beach, catered for by Nicolas and Alexandros - and people relaxed, swam, ate, drank all afternoon. Food was simple Greek taverna fare, everyone seemed to love it, wine was Greek and beer was cold! Rooms above Nicolas taverna are spotless, beautiful views, good place to get ready / repair the makeup in the heat! We sent out some things to Greece in advance of the wedding - candle holders for tealights, champagne and a few other things and Nicolas carefully stored all away for us. We've been back twice since - the last two years - and had the most lovely welcome! Didnt have any wedding planner as we knew the place quite well and organised it all during a summer holiday the year before.

Nicolas and his staff organised a lovely meal and reception for our wedding day. We've had a wonderful time and he was right about the rain (didn't come) , too! The food was very nice and everyone said that the lamb that we had for main course was so so so delicious! Highly reccomended!

We cannot recommend Nicolas' taverna more highly as a wedding venue. The location is stunning, overlooking the harbour in Fiscardo, perfect for the occasion. Nothing was too much trouble , the food was excellent, lots of it ! The table was set out beautifully , service very attentive and genuinely friendly.
