Old South Church is a wedding venue located in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts. They define themselves as a Sanctuary in the City, welcoming all who walk through their doors. The church abounds with beautiful architecture, filtering light through the stained glass windows and illuminating the pews by elegant chandeliers. There are artistic elements to be found all throughout the building, complete with arches, pipes, and intricate woodwork. Scattered around the airy spaces are memorials to Samuel Adams, Samuel Sewall, and Edward Whitter. Many carved animal depictions line the main atrium, and their open and inclusive services are able to cater to any couple, both traditional or non-traditional.

Facilities and Capacity

Old South Church presents gothic-style inspiration from the doorstep to the altar. There are eight rooms that couples are able to make use of and each room has a capacity ranging from 15 to 800 guests. Being located in Back Bay, Old South Church provides easy access to public transportation as well as public garages for guest parking. Your attendees will enjoy watching your nuptials from the comfort of the classic wooden church pews, celebrating you and your significant other begin a new chapter of your lives.

Services Offered

Old South Church is pleased to offer their wedding services to couples from all walks of life. This includes religious, nonreligious, interreligious, and ecumenical couples. In addition to this, Old South Church is LGBTQ friendly, dedicated to opening their hearts to everyone. They are able to provide an in-house officiant, or they accommodate an additional external officiant who is able to co-officiate. Music is provided via the church organist and other musical additions have the ability to be hired through the organist's services. Rehearsals are held a day or two before the date of the wedding to ensure that everything is accounted for and that all goes according to plan. They are happy to help any couple on their most special day and encourage that a consultation is held to discuss any specifics about the wedding event.
