Hi there! I'm Pamela Tatz, a Southern California-based wedding photographer and videographer. Selecting a wedding photographer is a deeply personal decision, and I appreciate that you've found your way here.

Throughout my career as a wedding photographer, I've had the privilege of photographing a diverse range of wedding celebrations—from intimate mountaintop elopements to multi-day destination wedding adventures—I’ve refined a style that mixes romantic detail shots, documentary-style candids, and natural light, editorial portraiture that feel like stills from a movie.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY SERVICES

My goal is to capture your big day as it really happened, with a true-to-color editing style to preserve the aesthetic and colors you so carefully selected. My photography approach is authentic and candid, rooted in photojournalism and influenced by cinematic fashion and editorial photography. What results are images that are creative, emotional, and romantic.

I offer photo packages for micro-weddings and elopements, full wedding days, and multi-day weddings, as well as wedding videography services. Additionally, I offer second photographer services and drone photography. I travel frequently, and I love destination weddings (I even have a bucket-list of destinations I'll travel to at a discount or for free--just reach out and I'll send it to you!).

My team and I are dedicated to capturing weddings without interrupting the events of the day (there will be no hovering over you during the ceremony and blocking your guests' view). That's one of the main reasons why we began to offer videography services: Your video and photo coverage will work as a team, and as the lead, I can ensure that we all have the same mindset.

HOW I APPROACH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

I sometimes describe myself as a friendly fly-on-the-wall photographer. I won't be strangely silent in a corner of the room, tying myself into pretzels or standing on tables to get "the shot." Instead, I'll mix into your friends and family whenever appropriate, laughing and joking along with you and your wedding party, being a calming presence, and snapping candids as they happen. I'm informed by years of experience as a wedding photographer, and I know when to insert myself, when to provide guidance, and when to create space and step away.

During portraits, my goal is to keep it as fun and easy-going as possible. I’ll always give you guidance on how to stand and where to put your hands, and I’ll usually give you something to think of, something to do, or something silly to say to each other that distracts you from the camera, gets honest laughter, and creates photos that look like stills from a movie, filled with emotion, romance, and love. My goal isn’t just to take beautiful photos; it’s to capture the essence of your connection.
