Owner and primary DJ, Patrick, has over 25 years of experience as a professional DJ and MC in the wedding industry. Throughout his impressive career, Patrick has developed a deep appreciation for personalization and consults with his clients in order to craft the perfect playlist for their event. Patrick also creates an organized schedule around your reception's key events in order to provide flawless MC services. This schedule includes reception entrances, wedding toasts, first dance introduction, as well as the optional bouquet and garter toss if requested.
Patrick Byrd is also a Licensed Wedding Officiant for the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Patrick offers couples access to a library of over 250,000 songs containing an eclectic mix of rock, jazz, hip-hop, electronic, country, and more. Patrick also invites couples to create a do-not-play list. Included in his package are the following:

Patrick secures all events with a contract and 1/3rd deposit to hold the date. This often gives couples a sense of security knowing their Reception Entertainment is secured in writing. Patrick enjoys meeting all couples in person whenever possible, especially when it comes to getting the details down of how you want the reception to go.

As usual Patrick did not disappoint and he was actually instrumental in making the wedding darn near magical.
Patrick (and team) goes beyond just providing you with a "DJ", they are extremely polished; I would consider them more like "hosts".
Patrick reads his audience quickly and before you know it, everyone is on the floor!
Before your event, Patrick and his team will work with you to make sure they understand your vision for the event.
Patrick will set up meetings and will personally meet with you. During this meeting, he provides templates for music, speeches, pretty much anything you could possibly think of really.

I recently met Patrick while searching for a DJ in Virginia Beach for my daughter's upcoming wedding. I had heard that he was one of the top DJs in Hampton Roads! Unfortunately, he already was booked. Amazingly, he called me back to let me know he regretted he couldn't be there but would be happy to refer us to other DJs in the area. He also gave me recommendations for a caterer and two rental companies. He went way above the call of duty and was so professional, kind and knowledgeable. Patrick is GREAT to work with. He is very organized and on top of everything. Before the bride and groom walk down the aisle he even makes an announcement to guests to please silence your phones (in this day and age that is definitely a big deal!) No one wants a phone ruining a special moment. Throughout the evening he kept me informed and on top of the upcoming events. He is a pleasure to work with and I have had the opportunity to work with him twice so far. Highly recommend him for working your big day!
