I’m so glad you’re here!
My name is Michelle Rakotomalala (you can ask me how to pronounce it when we meet in person), and I'm an internationally-published, destination, elopement, wedding, and couples photographer based in Indianapolis, Indiana. I'm a lover of people and beautiful love stories.
I'm so passionate about photographing weddings, and I cherish each couple that I have the honor of working with.
I've photographed over 75 weddings all over the state of Indiana, and also traveling all over the country and world to photograph love stories in places like Virginia, Northern Michigan, Georgia, and even Paris, with many more destinations to come.

Word can't express how amazing Michelle is!
Michelle is amazing - her photography and editing style is exactly what I wanted for my wedding. She has a great traditional, light and airy style that fit perfectly with our decor, venue, and vision. She is so easy to work with - she brings so many ideas to the table in terms of poses, locations, etc. but is also very open to meeting requests of the couple. During sessions, she gives great direction to achieve the most flattering results! If not for all these reasons, then you should still hire Michelle because of her lighting speed turn around time! I had several sneak peeks of photos the Monday after my Saturday wedding and had all the edited photos available the next day after that (Tuesday)!

Michelle is THE BEST!!!
We hired Michelle for our destination wedding in Charleston, SC. I'm a wedding coordinator in Indianapolis so I was lucky enough to have worked with Michelle a handful of times before our wedding. We've worked weddings and have also collaborated in a styled shoot. She is extremely responsive, detailed, professional and she goes above and beyond for her clients. I am SO happy we hired Michelle to capture our wedding! Her work is truly flawless! If you are looking for a local photographer or even having a destination wedding, Michelle is who you want to hire!

Michelle at Rakoteet Photography was wonderful to work with, and her photos were amazing! We are very pleased with her work, and the service she provided. She we very detail oriented, and we received our photos within days!
