In terms of weddings, I like to tell couples that photographs are the only lasting visual representation of their day that can bring them back into the moment and memories. With a skilled photographer, this can happen with a single glance. They portray a story for generations to come.

The reason why I feel so strongly in having a great working relationship with my couples is due to the fact that wedding images provide a visual legacy for generations to come. Those memories from your day can fade and change over time and I would never want your images themselves to become a dated time capsule or embarrassment you will not want to share. In 50 years - the cake has been eaten, the band has gone home, the flowers are browned and withered from their former glory. It is the images that make your moment in time live on for generations.

A great photographer can tell a visual story that can make anyone feel as if they were a participant in the event. This comment is one I am guaranteed to hear from my couples as they sit with their new spouse (and sometimes families) two to three weeks post wedding and scroll through their proofing gallery. My trained, keen and quick eye sees a moment between the couple that was not caught by others, snap! You did not even know I was there to capture that but here it is in all it's glory! This image now holds the ability for a viewer to relive that precious moment from the wedding day.
