Unforgettable and unique venue with something for everyone!

My wife and I were fortunate enough to get married at the Retreat Farm in the fall of 2019. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our special day. Lindsay and the whole Retreat Farm staff were incredible to work with and did so much to make the experience enjoyable.

Our wedding ended up having 175 people, and there was more than enough space to accommodate everyone at the ceremony and reception. We had the ceremony at the Overlook Meadow, and then had the reception in the farmhouse square. Sadly, the North Barn was not ready in time for our wedding, but we were able to go in and take some beautiful photos after the ceremony. Both sites were perfect for what we were looking for. The Overlook Meadow was tucked away and secluded, providing an intimate space to exchange our vows. And then the farmhouse square was an open space where our guests could spread out and enjoy a host of activities provided by the venue. We rented a tent, but we also made use of the event tent as well for additional space.

As far as amenities go, we couldn’t ask for a place that offered more! Before the event, our bridal party was able to utilize the farmhouse to prepare and keep our belongings. To help our guests get to the Overlook Meadow, we had tractor rides which weren’t only practical, but was a unique experience for our guests. After the ceremony, we got to feed Carlos the bull apple cider donuts, which is a can’t miss activity!

At the ceremony itself, the Retreat Farm had something for every one of our guests. Our wedding had a good contingent of children, and for there, there were play areas, baby goats to take photos of, and a petting barn. We also had the classroom at our disposal to use a nursey for the really little ones. For everyone else, we had maple creemees, a cider press, a plethora of yard games, and a fire pit with s’mores. Fun fact, if you’re a fan of NPR’s Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me, the beautiful bar we had for our ceremony was built by Tom Bodett!

Truly, I could go on about how wonderful that day was, and what an enormous part the Retreat Farm in making our day so special and unforgettable. Any couple looking for a unique wedding experience should definitely give this place a visit.
