About
Most people don't realize the power that a picture holds. But pictures can do a lot.
Pictures evoke emotion. They make us laugh, they make us cry. They make us remember moments.
Your wedding day should be one of the best days of your life. And while it's nice to think that you're going to remember every little detail forever, chances are pretty good that it's going to happen so quickly that you won't remember every little detail.
So that's what we're here for.
We have 15 years of experience between us.
Ryan and I met at Western Kentucky University, one of the top schools in the country for photojournalism. Our professors not only taught us how to take better photos and how to tell stories with our pictures, but they brought out our love of people.
Photojournalism is special because it's the truth: What you see is what really happened. Nothing is staged, except of course portraits.
When we photograph your wedding, our goal is to be invisible. We want you to forget that we're there. That's when we capture the real moments, the moments that tell the story of that day. And when we're able to take a few frames without someone noticing us and posing, that's when we know we're doing our job.
A lot of times, the wedding photographer is the first thing that couples skimp on when cutting costs. We firmly believe that photography should be the one thing you invest in. Obviously as photographers, we're a bit biased, but here's a venue owner and stationary designer who explains why investing in a professional wedding photographer is worth the money.
Twenty years from now, your first kiss will be a blur. Your first dance will be a blur. But if you have amazing pictures, those feelings and those emotions will still be there for you to relive and remember forever.
Note: Neither Becca nor I discriminate in any way based on sexual orientation. We feel that every couple deserves to have photos for their walls and we will not discriminate in any way.
