I had done a hair trial with another independent stylist and was not feeling it at all and thinking I might just do my own hair. When I showed my now sister in law the hair styles I liked she recommended her salon (Salon Bordeaux). Sure enough when I saw their Instagram, I loved all the looks they did. At this point it was only 5 weeks out from my wedding though so I was sure they'd be booked up already. By some grand stroke of luck, I was able to connect with Corie and she was able to shift her schedule to accommodate my party of three on my wedding day. It was at the hair trial though that I knew how lucky I had gotten to find Corie. This women knows hair and knows how to style it. As soon as she started working with my hair, I could tell I was in good hands. She listened to what I wanted, looked at my Pinterest board, and gave my three different hairstyles that day that were all gorgeous. On the day of, I decided to just do a down coiffed classic wavy look, but I'm very particular about my waves and volume and she hit it out of the park. It somehow looked even better than the trial and held up all day and night. On top of this, Corie is very reasonably priced and a delight to work with. I would recommend her in a heart beat and will be using her again when I need more formally styled hair.

My hair has ALWAYS been a sensitive topic for me, and so when looking for a hair stylist (and make-up artist) for my big day, I became super nervous and selective with who I was willing to trust. My friend recommended Salon Bordeaux as she used them for her wedding (and loved them). Through Salon Bordeaux, I found Corie Ambert and Katie Duckor…and I am SO, SO glad I did. Both Corie and Katie put my mind at ease from the second I met them. They were both super communicative (via email and phone) and accommodating along the way, understanding how stressful the process can be for a bride. Corie, Katie, and another hair-stylist from the Salon (Kat), came to the Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa the morning of the wedding, and was 100% set-up and prepared before anyone from the bridal party showed up. Corie and Kat (hair-stylists) did an amazing job on 4 bridesmaids, 2 squirmy flower girls, the mother of the bride, and the bride (me). Katie (make-up) did a fantastic job on 3 bridesmaids, mother of the groom, and the bride (me).
Both Corie and Katie are so supportive, helpful, and kind, and are ready to create any hairstyle / make-up look you could dream of. I can’t say enough good things about Salon Bordeaux, Corie, Katie, and Kat, and 100% recommend them for your big day!!

WOW! I hired Salon Bordeaux to do my hair and the hair for all my bridesmaids, mom, mother in law, aunts, cousins and flower girls at my wedding. I am thrilled with the results! Laura and Meschelle were so easy to work with. They were calm and had such a relaxed vibe all day which put us all in a relaxed mode too!
