Get married at a venue with values at the Saltonstall Farm!
The Saltonstall Farm only accepts up to ten weddings per year. This means that the venue is offered for a free or reduced price to non-profit organizations in the Seacoast community. To find out more about the use of this space by local non-profits, please visit the Robinwood Center website.
Historic, breath taking 4 story barn
This old cow barn is almost 200 years old. All of the old posts and beams are in incredible shape; they just don't build them like this anymore! Kyle and Sophie Saltonstall are the third generation in this family to steward this property, and they really take this job seriously. The barn renovation was completed in 2020 and surpasses any modern commercial building codes.
In the barn, there is a full PA sound system, beautiful Edison bulb chandeliers, a rock-maple live-edge bar top, two bathrooms, massive barn doors on each end, and a grand entrance staircase. The barn holds up to 200 people and is big enough that you probably don't have to rent a tent for your events, a major benefit and money saver! In the event of rain, you can use the barn as a ceremony and reception space.
Other amenities
The barn is attached to the farmhouse, where there is a private 3 bedroom apartment that is included in the wedding fee for two nights. It's the perfect place to get ready and to have a staging area before your big day! Also included in the price is lead up coordination and day of coordination with Love Affair, the wedding planning company. They will assist you throughout the entire process and will score you deals on rentals!
Is this the right venue for you?
The owners live on the property, near the barn, and have small children. Since they are the third generation, the farm and barn are sacred to them and they don't want them to be trashed or harmed during weddings. The farm is also in a residential area and to respect their neighbors, they have a strict 9pm end time. After that, you can take the party elsewhere if you want! If you're inviting more than 100 people, you'll need to request a police detail from the town. All of your vendors must have their own insurance and you must get your own insurance. Their wedding contract has more details for you to review and sign if you want to move forward! If you want to have a meaningful, wholesome wedding that supports a local non-profit to do good work in this world, this could be the right venue for you!
