About
Sanctuary Cove is a desert preserve and event center on 80 acres in the Tucson Mountains. The Cove was set aside in 1957 as a buffer to encroaching development and to this day, our mission is to preserve this pristine piece of the Sonoran Desert. Managed by a non-profit board of directors, Sanctuary Cove offers hiking, prayer, and meditation to all people every day of the year from sunrise to sunset at no charge. It is a "Still Place in a Turning World."
In order to fund the small budget that keeps the bills paid, we offer a rental cottage and event space ideal for small ceremonies including weddings and memorials. The outdoor amphitheater, with an unmatched view of three mountain ranges, is suitable for up to 150 guests. The hand-built stone Chapel accommodates 30-40. The grounds are rugged, trails are rocky and animals and plants are present. We also offer reception packages for small weddings (up to 40 total guests including the bridal party) on the patio of our lovely Cottage.
Events can be "self-managed" or you may have the Cove Event Manager take care of all the details with an affordable package.
