About
My name is Erik and I was raised in the beautiful and busy city of San Francisco. When I was 12 years old I started my long time joy of taking pictures. While growing up in San Francisco I was blessed with the diversity in scenery and people. I could go anywhere in the city and document the day with photos. I could go to the zoo and capture a flock of flamingos or white leopard sleeping in its den. I could walk to the beach and see hang gliders and parasailers and then on the other side of the city walk the Golden Gate bridge and capture images of boats, craggy cliffs, people, sunsets, the fog rolling in.
When I shot my first wedding I was overwhelmed and excited, I finally felt like this is the kind of photography I was meant to do. I loved watching two people starting their lives together and being the person who could capture their life long memories. From that point on I continued shooting everything around me but focused on wedding photography.
In my 20's I worked at a non profit organization and met my wife there. We got married in the same location, as it was set in a scenic Redwood Forest. As we go through our lives together she supports my dreams and encourages me to try new things and learn more about myself as a photographer, the couple I am working with and the weddings I shoot.
I enjoy my camera and what images I can create from behind the lens. It is a great joy to spend a day or two with a couple, on their happiest day, and know that I can help them remember that time for the rest of their lives.
