Now that you have found your forever dress for your own wedding or a dress for your loved one's event it’s time to custom fit it to your exact measurements. A dress this special should not be taken anywhere else but to an expert. This is where Sew Diva comes in to provide 30 years of expertise.

Appointments

Because our workmanship is highly sought after appointments go quickly. We are grateful to be busy year-round. There is no commitment or obligation for us to consult with you at your very own one on one appointment made around your work or leisure schedule. We schedule day, evening and weekend appointments. Do not risk losing out on an appointment while waiting for your dress to come in. Booking an appointment on short notice could compromise attention to detail on your garment or even professionalism and experience of the Seamstress depending upon who you end up going with. Plan ahead. Lets relieve one less stress and check off a to-do by getting you on the calendar for a fitting, to answer any questions you may have and pricing so that you may budget accordingly. We can always make adjustments later on if the dress is running a little behind schedule.

Questions & Pricing

We understand how exciting yet overwhelmed you may be at times. We are available via phone, Facebook messenger, text or email to answer questions prior to your appointment. We can discuss all things alterations except pricing. Why not pricing? All Wedding Gowns, Bridesmaid and formal dresses are made differently and so are our bodies therefore we cannot quote garments without viewing them in person on you. You may have the same gown or dress as someone else however yours may need minor adjustments (let's say the straps only for example) while the other may need major tailoring in every area. This is why we do not really believe in prices ranges. I know it's a competitive business but at the risk of losing a potential Customer we refuse to lure you in by providing a price range. That's about as honest and straight forward as it gets. All relationships should start out and be built with honesty and trust.

Experience

Sew Diva’s experience started at the very young age of 10 years old when she received her first sewing machine from her Grandmother. She continued taking classes and decided to attend a trade school for Tailoring, Fashion Design and Commercial Sewing. She started taking on alterations for family members in high school which eventually led to paying Customers. She put her skills to further use after she graduated out of the Trade School program by working for Bridal & Clothing manufacturers. She also attended College for Design, Tailoring, Patternmaking & Business. She eventually decided to start her own clothing & accessories line alongside an alterations business called Angie’s Fashions, based out of Chicago for 10 years. She custom made all types of garments for Clients, Owned and ran a small boutique that show cased all of her original designs, held fashions shows and attended vending events regularly to showcase and sell her creations. She relocated back to Phoenix and that is when she eventually renamed her business Sew Diva as part of a business redesign. She has also worked for several fast-paced tailoring franchises in Chicago and Phoenix as well as held several Administrative and Exempt positions at major corporations where she also gained lots of business relationship experience.

Contract & Equipment

Sew Diva also provides Alteration services and products to Boutiques & Retail stores. We only use professional & Industrial Sewing Equipment in a smoke & pet free work environment.
