MY PHILOSOPHY
I promise to not only capture the moments as they unfold, but to make this a fun, natural experience, bringing out the best in you. Every single one of us is unique - there’s only one you. I can pose you all day long but without bringing out that unique you, it’ll mean nothing. I will do my best to not just capture your ceremony, your special day, but to help you create and capture memories and meaningful images that you can share and also go back to 5, 10, 20… and more years from now.
My goal is for you to look back at the photos and see, experience again these real emotion, real passion, real connection. Through images that we will create together, I want to help you preserve the memories that will last a lifestyle.
ABOUT ME
Hi and thank you for visiting. My name is Boris Polissky. I always felt a need to creatively express myself. I started playing music when I was 9, played in bunch of bands, produced and recorded music. While doing all that I always had my camera with me. At some point by chance I came along to help my friend photograph the wedding. I then realized I enjoyed the excitement of the day, the people, the ceremony, the energy and electricity of the day. And i was hooked, so I started shooting wedding in addition to everything else I was already photographing.
After several years I wanted to focus on one location in San Francisco that i always admired. As a result I took over this company - SF City Hall Photo several years ago and have been working hard to create a strong reputation. Since 2017 I work together with Alex (who originally taught me a great deal about photography)
Now a few words about my personal connection with SF City Hall….
I also had my ceremony at the City Hall with my wife Valerie. I was lucky to have one of my best friends (who happen to be one of the best photographer i know) take our photos. So I know how it feels to be on the other end of the camera.

Got a great value for the price
We also didn't anticipate how much smoother the whole process was with Boris to help out, tell us what to expect, where to go, he truly is an expert on getting married at City Hall. And in the end he took the most wonderful pictures, which we will cherish forever! If you have good weather definitely try to get some pictures outside, as they were the highlights for us! Thank you Boris!!!!
It's as if your good friend happens to be a very good photographer
As a stressed out bride (without a wedding coordinator), I would say he handled me well (I accidentally hit him in the face while rallying guests for a cable car and he was funny and understanding about it). Boris took engagement shots for us, and later photographed the actual event which was at City Hall and the restaurant where we had our first date.
I gave Boris some examples of our preferred style/what we liked, and he did a great job at recapturing what we had in mind for us, but also for adding his own touches and style - thus, creating photographs that we truly value.
Afterward, he was so quick at sharing the photos with us via dropbox (which was so nice). He knew when to go to City Hall for our engagement shoot too, so we could avoid as many people as possible. We are so appreciative and would use Boris again for our future life memories to come.
Our guests also commented how much they liked him and his demeanor. Some mistook him for an old friend, just because he was just that sweet. He even made us a slideshow and was so generous with his time. Thank you Boris!
Perfect SF City Hall wedding
My husband and I are both quiet, private people who really wanted a low-key elopement, but also wanted to share the day with our families. Boris made it happen! Both our families loved the announcements we sent out using his photos and I'm pretty sure the City Hall exit shot saved us got people so excited for us that they forgot to be mad that they weren't invited.
Boris also did an awesome job of making us comfortable with the photography; we both totally hate taking photos. He didn't try to talk us into any cheesey poses but was still creative and we have a whole bunch of really beautiful and interesting photos, not 100 copies of the same image. He was super chill and we enjoyed VIP treatment at City Hall seeing as he knew our marriage commissioner! Happy coincidence.
Also, a final shout-out because we both left our phones in the car when we went in (nerves, what can I say) and only realized when we were waiting in line that we had totally abandoned the plans we'd made with our photographer. No worries, he totally found us and made it no big deal.
I've already recommended this service to two of my friends who want to get married at City Hall, and we really couldn't be happier with how our photos came out.
