Hi! I’m Shan!

I am a wife, mama and photographer!

I love my husband more than I can tell you. He is my better half and pushes me to be a better person every day. If you are lucky, sometimes he second shoots with me! My kids are my world. I never knew how deep you could love until I became a mother; the best gift of my life. If you follow my Blog or Instagram you will be bombarded with photos of them, so beware.

I love to run. I love curling up on the couch on a chilly Bay Area day and reading a good book or writing.

I love laughing, like I really, really love laughing! And I usually laugh at all the wrong things so forgive me now.

I started taking photos professionally a little over six years ago when my husband gave me a digital camera as a wedding gift to replace my old film camera from college. Since then I don’t think a day has passed that I haven’t taken a photo. My camera has become a part of me, like a third arm ;)

A few years ago a friend of mine shared that her dad made this quote:

Her family's theme quote. I just fell in love with it! Since reading it, I have aimed to model my business by this.

I see my job as such a privilege! I get to capture the beginning of a couple's beautiful story of love and commitment.

I so love and enjoy each and every one of my clients and walk away every year with a new handful of friends! Who can say that about their job!?
