About
On WeddingWire since 2013
With views of the Mississippi River and landmarks in Downtown Baton Rouge, the River Terrace at Shaw Center for the Arts is the perfect setting for a modern wedding. The venue features a glass-enclosed room that leads out to a rooftop-style outdoor terrace and sculpture garden, allowing exclusive use of the entire fourth floor. Whatever size event you are planning, this venue is sure to add the wow factor with a design and view you cannot find anywhere else.
Facility & Capacity
The River Terrace's combined indoor and outdoor spaces can host up to 400 guests reception style and 250 for ceremony and reception. The smaller indoor room is a perfect space to display buffet-style catering and wedding cakes, while the wedding ceremony, bar, and live music take place on the larger outdoor terrace.
Services Offered
The River Terrace now offers a full service option, which includes catering and bar services. However, couples still have the option to work with the caterer of their choice through a venue-only rental option. Since weather is a concern for all outdoor weddings, the River Terrace includes tent coverage as a Plan B for all events if there is inclement weather!
