AMAZING photographer

We had not met Monica before the wedding day, but she fit right in with our group. She took amazing pictures and gave great direction for the party and family. She brought our ideas to life and even brought her own props to give us the right aesthetic. We could not of done sooooo many things without her on our special day!

Terrible communication

We had a couple problems with her. My fiancée met with her and gave her a deposit. It took her MONTHS to send us a contract. We had asked via text, email and Facebook message and she said she would but didn’t. Finally we called her and had an hour long discussion about our concerns and questions we had. She said “sorry I’m not a type A person.”
When it comes to your wedding, it is so important to get everything in writing! Get that contract to your client as soon as they give you money! She said I changed dates and that’s also written in the contract, but once again, we waited MONTHS to get the contract, so when my date changed, I still never got my contract. I am a college student several states away and we had to plan everything out way in advance and the lack of communication we received at the time was very disappointing.

Do not hire

If you’re looking for a Wedding photographer. LOOK ELSEWHERE. Monica is not experienced in wedding/engagement photography. The photos in her portfolio are very deceiving to what we actually got. She showed up and said “okay just act natural”, “is that it?”, and “Do you want anything else.” She made us feel awkward, she was not prepared at all. And she only gave us 2 poses. All of my photos in my dress are very distant so you can’t really see us. She didn’t take any images of my ring. Every photographer I’ve spoken to since, said she as the photographer, is responsible to make the couple comfortable and come prepared with poses and prompts to make them look great. Her attention to detail is HORRIBLE. Half my of photos, my fiancé has a wedgey, my dress was stuck in between my legs so I have camel toe or we just look uncomfortable in the poses she gave us. I called crying and told her I wasn’t happy with them and why and advised me to cancel the contract and look for a new photographer. She agreed verbally to give us half our deposit back, and when I texted her asking for it in writing that we dissolved the contract and is giving me half my deposit back she said no. She’s dishonest and does not own up to her mistakes. She didn’t offer to retake our photos, she just immediately asked to dissolve the contract.
I chose her because she was the cheapest photographer I could find. DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE!
