Originally built in the early 1900s, this building served as Washington’s main post office until 1986. As such, couples will find many historic architectural elements and decor when they step foot inside this venue. There are multiple different choices available when it comes to hosting weddings here. The Historic Lobby is a grand option, which can fit 250 people sitting and 600 people standing. The space features classic-style columns, marbled flooring, and an intricate rosette ceiling, all offset by moody lighting. Guests will also find the William H. Gross Stamp Gallery here, which details American history through postage stamps. Nearlyweds can also choose The Atrium for their big day. This iconic spot offers a marbled floor atrium, skylight ceiling, and escalators. Additionally, there is a vintage train car, three airmail planes suspended in mid-air, and various other historic vehicles, making it an awe-inspiring choice for a reception. The Atrium can hold up to 300 people standing, or 100 people seated.
