About

Located in Ledbetter, Texas, Solar-Wilson Village is a rustic ranch wedding venue. Owners and wives Moji and Margaret Solar-Wilson want their ranch to feel like home to everyone, no matter their story. Originally hailing from Nigeria, the pair brings African hospitality to the Lonestar State to help people relax and celebrate their love and authentic selves. The ranch covers 40 acres and features a picturesque spring-fed lake. The urban hubs of Austin and Houston are roughly an hour away by car for guests who might want to explore the state.

Facilities and Capacity

Solar-Wilson Village hosts ceremonies and receptions, along with engagement parties, pre-wedding showers, and rehearsal dinners. They specialize in weddings with a traditional African touch and are passionate about sharing the beauty of such a celebration. Celebrations here can be held in a variety of settings. You can host your milestone indoors in the event center, or immerse yourself in the beauty of the ranch and exchange vows by the lake. You can hold your ceremony anywhere on the grounds, including under the wedding tree. The Iwo Road Event Center has both indoor and outdoor seating and features large windows that fill the space with sunlight. Before starting their day, couples can avail of the peace in get-ready rooms while they finish their final preparations. Guests can stay overnight in the on-site cabins, and experience the warmth of the ranch for a while longer. There's also parking available for those who have cars.

Services Offered

Moji and Margaret support couples throughout the process of planning their wedding at Solar-Wilson Village. To-be-weds don't need to worry about sourcing vendors, as the team can arrange catering and music, along with licensed non-denominational ministers to perform the ceremony. Some of the features available at the ranch include a dance floor and an altar, enhancing both the ceremony and reception. WiFi is also available, perfect for guests who want to keep the outside world up-to-date with the joy of your magical day.
