Karyn Adams’ friends would describe her as loud, wild and confident, which are coincidentally also the qualities necessary for a good DJ.

“My emcee style is all about letting the music do the talking,” she said. “I am a gentle guide for the night. I play host and announcer and lover of parties. But the music is doing all the hard work. I like to keep it smooth and flowing.”

Adams matches the energy of the night – from wild dancing and sing-along songs to slow and meaningful first dances.

“I like the music to match the ebb and flow,” she said. “I like a smooth transition and for those to continue all night long – not only between songs but between moods as well. An effortless roll into a slow song and an energetic emergence back into dancing. I believe that people only wanna have fun. I feel the same way so let’s party together!”

Sound Precision Entertainment has received stellar feedback on Adams, with many clients saying she is fun and has a lot of energy.

“I try to engage the audience as much as possible,” she said. “I want everyone to have a great time so I show that I’m having one too, and it’s an open invitation to join in.”

As Adams has grown in her DJ abilities, she has become more confident in her mixes.
“I went from playing it safe with popular music to choosing music that I think will surprise and delight,” she said. “I want to create the perfect atmosphere for a party – even for the slow and romantic parts. I am here to help in any way I can and make it the best night ever.”
Adams said she is heavily influenced by musical theatre, so some of her biggest influences are Broadway shows. Her favorite performer is Julie Andrews, who instilled in her a love of performance, art, singing and music.

But that’s not to say Adams doesn’t enjoy and appreciate other genres. In fact, the one song she can always be trusted to play at a wedding is “Fireball” by Pitbull, and she would love to DJ with Kesha.
“She puts on a wicked performance, and I’d love to feel that kind of energy up close!” she said.

When Christian Hinton first started DJing with Sound Precision Entertainment about three years ago, he was nervous, and his style was much more reserved and laid-back.

But now that he has a few years under his belt, his style has evolved to be more engaging, outgoing and energetic. In fact, if he could DJ with any celebrity, he said it would be J.R. Smith: “That dude knows how to party – what can I say?”

“I try to develop a great relationship with the couple from Day One to show my true outgoing personality before, during and after the wedding!” he said.

This began with Hinton’s first-ever wedding, which he says he really enjoyed because he was able to build a rapport with the clients months in advance.

“I really felt a connection with them from the start, and their wedding felt like one I was doing for personal friends,” he said. “Developing that relationship from the start is so special to me.”

Hinton has received exceptional feedback from our clients, who love his hands-on approach to ensuring their weddings are the perfect day for them.

“When people book me as their DJ, they get someone who cares and somebody who will DJ their wedding with passion,” he said. “I treat each and every wedding like I am part of the family. That means accommodating needs for the couple, playing every song in their desired playlist and connecting to family members to ensure everybody is having the time of their life.”

One song Hinton can always be trusted to play is “Forever” by Chris Brown, but he also has a repertoire of songs he usually goes to when things need a bit of a boost. However, he says one of his biggest music influences and just general inspirations in life is Hans Zimmer.

“He creates music that has always spoken to me in one way or another,” Hinton said.

Have you heard about DJ Nutch yet? If you haven’t, you will! Lead DJ/Emcee Andrew Nutial says he would go by DJ Nutch (pronounced “NOO-CH”) if he had a celebrity DJ name. “Nutch,” a nickname he’s had throughout his life, is short for his last name, Nutial. We think it’s catchy!

At Sound Precision Entertainment, Nutial is responsible for meeting with couples prior to their wedding date, setting up sound and lighting equipment, emceeing weddings and large events, playing and mixing music, catering the event to meet the unique wants and needs of the bride and groom and overall creating a wedding experience couples will never forget!

“I enjoy creating the ‘little moments’ that people will look back and remember and being able to host and create a party that makes their wedding memorable,” Nutial said.

Nutial, originally from the Canton, Ohio, is married to his wife, Kaylee. The two have a goldendoodle named Winston.

“My wife pushes me to be the best version of myself and to work hard to achieve my dreams,” he said. “She always reminds me that short-term sacrifice and discipline usually lead to long-term success.”

As both a husband and wedding DJ, Nutial has advice for couples planning their big day.

“Don’t let others’ opinions sway your decisions,” he said. “Your mom, dad, brother, sister, cousin or Great Grandma Irene will all have an opinion about your big day (what flowers you should have, what venue you should pick, should the wedding be outside, etc.) but it is YOUR day. Be selfish and choose what you want and what makes you happy.”

When he isn’t DJing or spending time with Kaylee and Winston, Nutial, who has an undergraduate in communications from The University of Mount Union and is currently earning his MBA at the University of Cincinnati, works as a national accounts manager. He also enjoys hiking, running, skiing, cooking, grilling, traveling and boating.

Nutial enjoys cooking and even took a six-week cooking class in Italy (ask him for his Whole30 recipes, which are delicious!)!

Lead DJ/Emcee Josh Booth is a veteran DJ. This will be his 20th year in the industry, although he says he kind of fell into it.

“I’ve always loved music, and, as a kid, I would make tapes from the radio,” he said. “I would buy CDs with all my money and play music on the stereo and make mix tapes. I also played my parents’ records on our home stereo and would bring my CDs anytime I would hang out with friends.”

Booth’s first “official” DJ gig was a 50th birthday party for a fellow parishioner at his church. When he attended college (he earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast communications from Baldwin-Wallace University), he started to take more interest in DJing.

“At college parties, we would have have the computer playing music, and, eventually, I would get behind the bar and start crafting the playlist for each party. Then organizations would ask if I would DJ, and I started buying equipment. I got connected with a local community center that was having a weekly activity night, and that’s what launched my DJ career.”
The first wedding Booth DJed was his brother’s, where he also served as best man.

“My love of music, all kinds of music, is what got me into DJing,” he said. “I thrive on weddings where the playlist is not ‘normal.’ Some of my favorite events were ones where I didn’t understand one word of the music!”

When Booth isn’t DJing for Sound Precision Entertainment, he manages the day-to-day operations for a cluster of radio stations. He serves as the music director 95.5 The Fish, scheduling the daily music logs.
A lifelong Northeast Ohioan, Booth grew up in North Lima, a suburb of Youngstown. He currently resides in Alliance with is wife of 10 years and three kids, as well as their energetic sheepadoodle.

Lead DJ and Emcee Alyssa Watson not only juggles multiple gigs – she’s also a professional juggler!

“I have experience juggling balls, rings, pins and doing Diablo, devil sticks and poi as well!” the Wisconsin native says.

Watson is comfortable both in and out of the spotlight as she can slide effortlessly from performing a juggling routine to mixing tunes behind the DJ booth. She started in the business about 11 years ago and has been DJing consistently for about six years now.

“I would see so many guys behind the board just making so many people dance and break through their shells, and I wanted to be that person!” she says. “I also wanted to help diversify the industry by being a younger female behind the board!”

Being a woman in a male-dominated industry hasn’t stopped Watson from rocking the mic. She says she is a jack of all trades – capable of playing any style or genre and killing it!

“My specialty is 2010-2017 mainstream and hip hop, but I also specialize in classic rock (70s-90s) and enjoy country and many other styles of music!” she says. “As far as personality, I’m super bubbly, just that fun, upbeat, always-dancing DJ!”

Watson says her favorite part of the job is seeing the smiles at the end of the night and getting hugs and high-fives thanking her for making a memorable night. And she absolutely loves a couples’ first dance.

“Seeing the love, and commitment and being honored to introduce them for the first time dancing as husband and wife is honestly a beautiful moment,” she says.

When Watson isn’t DJing (or juggling) she works as an operations manager and teaches dance. She also cleans aviaries and fish tanks at local nursing homes (we told you she was busy!)

However, her favorite job is being a mom to her 2-year-old.

“I don’t have much free time, but when I do, I spend it with my family!” she says. “I love going places and spending time with my fiancé and my little boy! My son inspires me to be the best version of myself. He loves music and dancing, and I love being able to offer him happiness in both areas!

Lead DJ/Emcee Aaron Crosby is a master on the decks. He has the skills to make any wedding a true dance party.

Aaron is no stranger to DJing, having performed at venues all across Cleveland. He takes pride in tailoring each wedding to each couple. His message to couples is, “I can really relate to you, I understand what you want to hear and what your friends want to hear.”. Aaron loves creating an experience a couple will never forget.

John Toth has been with Sound Precision Entertainment for more than 5 years, first as a DJ and now as director of operations.

A lifetime Cleveland resident, Toth has a hand in almost everything at SPE, from meeting with clients to DJing events. He also created and maintains the websites for SPE (www.spedj.com) and its sister company, Capture Cleveland (www.captureclevelandphoto.com).

“I love building websites,” the Cleveland State graduate said. “It’s always nice to have a creative outlet.”

Toth has attended hundreds of weddings during his professional career, and because he works hands-on with couples, he’ learned what it takes to make a good event.

“Don’t worry about trying to make everything perfect,” he said. “If you expect everything to be perfect, it won’t be, and you’ll be upset. If you think this will be the best day of your life, then what happens afterward? Don’t put all that pressure on yourself. If something goes wrong, let it roll off your shoulders, and just enjoy yourself!”

When Toth isn’t working at SPE, you can find him trying out new restaurants in the Cleveland area.

“Seoul Garden in Parma is one of my favorites,” he said. “I’ve never had anything there that I didn’t like. If you go, try the soju!”

Josh Suponcic is our newest full time assistant. He enjoys video games, long walks on the beach, and going out to fancy restaurants. Josh previously worked in restaurants so his customer service background translates well! He’s excited to help you get your wedding booked!

Nik O’connor. a people person by nature, and a DJ by choice. Nik has a people-oriented philosophy which began when he was 15 as a Christmas Party host for a family friend. He quickly excelled at being the life of the party, and soon started doing private events and gatherings. Since then, he has translated his people skills into bartending, sales, real estate, networking, event coordination, and much more.

When Nicky is not working, he’s dedicating his free time to working out to maintain and improve his overall health. This includes basketball, lifting weights, football, and running. Music has always been a passion of his as it can completely change the outcome of things. Whether it is picking up the vibe, or enhancing the mood during parties he hosted in college, music has always been there for him. He also is a huge advocate for giving back to the community and to the world we live in through volunteering and other mediums.

While Dan Luzniak may be a new addition to Sound Precision Entertainment, he is no stranger to DJing.

The Cleveland native grew up on the east side of Cleveland but now resides in the Seven Hills neighborhood.

One of the biggest things that Luzniak enjoys about DJing is that every event is different – each with its own flavor and style.

“I really don’t approach the job as an entertainer as much as a party facilitator,” he explained. “It’s the job of the DJ to set the mood, making sure the vibe is right to help the party along. Your party guests are already ready to cut loose; they just need a little catalyst. That’s where I come in. And because I’m a bit of a technology and architecture nerd, lighting and playing music in some of the coolest venues around Cleveland is also pretty cool!”
