Look no further –we highly recommend Soundbarrier! We hired Soundbarrier to play at our wedding in June 2017 and we are so happy that we did! From the moment that we reached out to the band, they were extremely attentive and helped us immensely throughout our wedding planning process (giving us ideas with our timeline for the night, songs, etc.). They were extremely professional and were so willing to make the day fit everything that we wanted (including offering to learn songs, edit music, allowing us to give them a “yes” and “no” song list, and even let our friend sing with the band!) The whole planning process was so easy! Mike offered to play the acoustic guitar and sing during our wedding ceremony to songs that we picked out, which made our ceremony so personal. They also played at our cocktail hour, which our guests loved. They also MC’ed our entire event and everything ran so smoothly—our entrance, our first dance (which we surprised our guests with a choreographed dance that required the band to give special instructions for our guests), speeches, and all of the other announcements throughout the night (dinner, cake, mother/groom & father/bride dances).

After dinner, we didn’t stop dancing with our guests all night, because every single song that Soundbarrier played was absolutely amazing. They played everything from hits from the 70’s to now. Our guests especially loved all of the 90’s hits. We’ve never listened to a band before that could play such a wide variety of music. Soundbarrier’s energy was non-stop and helped our guests stay on their feet all night. We were floored how hard-working they were as well—they only took a break during dessert! Wow, wow, wow. We wish we could have danced with them all night.

Mike Peek and Rocky Graziano provided musical accompaniment to our female vocalist at our wedding ceremony. Mike played the piano and Rocky played the guitar. They did an excellent job setting the mood, and their playing provided just the right touch of elegance and class to our ceremony. My wife and I would highly recommend them to perform at anyone's ceremony and reception.

Not only was Mike prepared and professional, he saved the ceremony when the officiant's mic cut out! We were SO grateful to have him run our reception, and he went above and beyond to make sure that things ran smoothly... even coordinating closely with the Photographer and Videographer to make sure they could get the shots I wanted.

The lighting looked great and helped get people on the dance floor. He is full of ideas and of course is completely musically literate- and by that I mean, if you say a theme or mood, he can give you an idea for a song that fits with the personality of the bride and groom for that specific part of the reception.

He did everything we asked of him and made sure to understand our wishes about specific traditions we wanted to incorporate.

They are perfect if you don't want that fist-pumping-wish-I-were-ghetto-but-I-live-in-the-suburbs type of DJ or vibe, but I'm sure they could probably pull it off... if that's what you wanted!!!!!

Soundbarrier Entertainment is everything we didn't know we needed for our ceremony and reception. The value and quality of service were way beyond what other DJs in the area offer. Hiring them would be a SOUND investment for your wedding day. :)
