Valley's Oldest Historic Homestead- Spring Creek Homestead

Spring Creek Homestead is a beautiful 19-acre farm that was homesteaded by Dr. Goodwin. He was the leader of the first Wagon Train to settle in Yakima City in 1865. When the wagon train reached their new home, DR. Goodwin was given the first choice in picking his land. The original charming home, still has hand crafted wood gutters along the eve and a cast iron cooking pot dangling above the massive f ... fireplace. Sprinkled throughout the house are historical pictures and antiques that were found tucked in the barn rafters and around the farm. Most of the items date from 1904 to the 1930s.
The Barn was built in 1911 and operated as the local dairy. The settlers placed many trees around the house for shade. Many of them are still alive today. The barn and house have both been lovingly remodeled to retain their charm and make a wonderful event location. The 1200 sq ft deck off the barn overlooks beautiful Spring Creek, which meanders past the House and Barn.
The vast lawns and lush flower gardens surround the house and barn offer many outdoor options for your event, from the secluded front yard of the house to the large yard along the creek.
