Cannot recommend highly enough
Susan Gage catered our wedding on 4/6/19 at the NMWA. I really can't say enough wonderful things about them. First, the food was AMAZING -- it was really, really delicious and we got compliments all night long about how tasty it was. The food at the reception was every bit as delicious as the food at the tasting. The service at the reception was also incredible. I think one of our guests put it best when she said to me "I've never had to turn down so much champagne in my life!"
Second, SG was super easy to work with. Our primary point of contact was Stacey Benefield, who was professional, accommodating, and super pleasant to work with. She easily accommodated our unusual requests (an extra hors d'oeuvre, going off-menu for the salad, mint juleps for a signature cocktail, a gluten-free vegetarian meal for the maid of honor) as well as a last-minute request for extra vegetarian meals. I really can't say enough positive things about the quality of the service. Stacey really went above and beyond to make our day special.
I've seen other reviews that describe SG as more expensive than other caterers, but I found they were pretty much competitive with the other big names in town. They were very upfront about pricing and there were no surprise ad-ons that drove the price up -- the lovely linens, upgraded flatware and glassware were all included in the price were were initially quoted. At the end of the day, I think they probably saved us money because we didn't need to upgrade any of the included rentals and linens.
Seriously, book SG for your wedding! (And ABSOLUTELY get the mini grilled cheese sandwiches as an hors d'oeuvre - they're not fancy, but they're delicious and a fan favorite).
