Susan did the alterations on my dress. She was amazing! She was so sweet, got things done very fast, and she was able to make my custom blue corset lace without an issue. I would definitely recommend her and would use her for any future alteration I may need.

Very upset with this vendor

I am very disappointed with the alterations I received on my wedding dress. I should’ve known at the initial meeting when she was placing pins randomly without measuring and it took not even ten minutes and costed 35 for just that. I decided to trust her because she was recommended. When I went in to pick up my dress the straps were very tight and the breast area was about three inches above were it needed to be. She went ahead and fixed that and they still seemed too tight but I was told her that she didn’t want them too loose for fear of falling off my shoulders so I trusted her. I was excited to see my dress and so I went ahead paid and left. When I got home I had tried it on and it just felt weird. The cups were still about an inch above where they should be and the sides should be tighter but I was told because of the open back they couldn’t be any tighter. So me and my mom started looking at the seams and they were horrible they did not match up at all horizontally or vertically. My straps were placed on the same spot not moved with the sides being taken in and the one strap is twisted. So I was very upset my wedding is less than a month away and my total bill for this disaster was $200. I ended up calling her and she said she didn’t understand that I left happy and someone changed my mind. I told her that yes me and my mom looked inside and it looks like crap. She said she was offended and I said well it does I’ll send you pictures or bring it in tomorrow. She acted like I shouldn’t be upset and continued to make excuses like the seams aren’t even because of my body. At that point I was done so I told her my mom will fix her mistakes and thanks. I posted pictures below. She may be good at hemming pants but from my experience not wedding dresses.

This was such a stressful experience. The bridal shop I purchased my gown from recommended Susan highly so I took my dress and a bridesmaid dress to her. I was told the alterations would take about two months and I made an appointment with Susan for when they would be done and I could pick everything up. Four days before my bridesmaid and I were to go pick up the dresses, I received a call that the dresses were not done - and - it wasn't that they just needed a few more days to finish alterations, apparently Susan had been out of the shop the entire two months since I dropped off the dresses and nothing had been started on either dress. I understand emergencies happen, but I was so upset no one called me during those two months the dresses were just sitting in the shop so I could make other arrangements and now I only had one month to get my wedding dress altered. The assistant said they could just hold on to the dresses so whenever Susan returned to the shop she could work on them or she offered to give me names of other seamstresses - while I understand she tried to make the situation right, I think a phone call to me sooner than the week I was to pick up my finished wedding dress would have been better customer service. Luckily, I found a much better seamstress on my own, who charged far less and was able to fix things Susan said she couldn't. I would not recommend anyone go here unless you want unreliable and unprofessional customer service.
