The Barn at Bournelyf (meaning Stream of Life) is a converted 1792 Pennsylvania Bank Barn. Available for rental are the grounds, pond, gardens, sanctuary, historic Manor House, grotto, and multipurpose room. Located on 21 bucolic acres in Chester County, the grounds have an arboretum-like quality with a pond, a labyrinth, a butterfly garden, and ample parking.

Beautiful venue!

I couldn’t have asked for a better venue to have our ceremony and reception at. The pictures came out amazing because of the beautiful colors.

We had our rehearsal, prep time, pictures, and ceremony all at Barn at Bournelyf/Church of the Loving Shepherd! The facilities are charming and beautiful. The bridal suite was neat and lovely, and suited our needs very well. The only thing we could have used were access to food amenities (microwave, silverware, cups, etc) but Alli did her best to accommodate us. Alli is very organized, friendly, and professional. She helped our preparation and special day run very smoothly. The grounds are gorgeous for photos, and the church is breathtaking for a simple ceremony. We had an amazing day here.

The Barn at Bournelyf is one of those hidden gems that has unveiled itself in Chester County. When I stumbled upon this location, I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. I'm partial to historic spaces, and when I saw the renovated barn I was sold. The historical integrity of everything on the property has been kept intact while still offering modern conveniences and the sprawling grounds are perfect for today's couples who love to host outdoor receptions, ceremonies and large photo shoots.
