My husband and I's first date was at The Byrd so I jumped at the opportunity to have our ceremony there. There's really no other place like it in Richmond. Todd was great at letting us know what to expect the day of and coaching me before my walk down that epic aisle. Can't really beat having your names on the Marquee either. I don't need to sell you on this venue, it's either absolutely for you or it's not. Where else can you be played down the aisle by a world famous Wurlitzer Organ!

Let me start off by saying congrats & best of wishes to you and you husbands to be! My husband and I got married at The Byrd Theatre this past October (10/31/09). We both love the unique charm and beauty that the Byrd Offers, it's like a huge piece of eye candy inside! The price could not have been better and you get to put both of your names up on the marquee for everyone driving by to see. There are beautiful paintings and a HUGE beautiful crystal chandelier where your guest will be sitting. Everything is very vintage and unique. However, keep in mind that becasue it is and old historic theatre all of the seat inside are the original, meaning some of the seats are damaged and some are a little uncomfortable. Also make sure that you ask for the floors to be cleaned a day or two before your wedding, the floors get sticky from the people who come to see the $2.00 movies during the week. If you live in or near the Richmond area and are interested in having your wedding at The Byrd, but have never been, I suggest going on a fun date night to see one of their movies and to get an idea of whether you would like to get married there or not. It was everything we wanted and hoped for on our wedding day and if you get married there I hope it is for you aswell.
