Throughout all the craziness of wedding planning, my husband and I were a little nervous about how we were going to find an officiant. Neither of us are active members of a church, although we both grew up Baptist. Getting married in the Bible Belt of America, we knew our families had expectations as well as our guests. Shortly after realizing this would definitely be a huge part of our BIG day we came across The Chapel at Darlington. We knew we wanted our ceremony somewhat traditional and we were able to have just what we wanted. We met with George one afternoon without a real plan. George was very professional but upbeat and fun at the same time and his support was overwhelming! He was willing to really let us guide the tone which was PERFECT. We didn't want the long, traditional vows but we definitely did NOT want to write our own vows so George came up with a suggestion for vows which flowed perfectly with our idea. We wanted a short and sweet ceremony. I joked about the ceremony lasting 10 minutes or less... well George made that happen! He arrived early the night of rehearsal and was incredibly instrumental in helping us direct the bridal party. His suggestions, advice and guidance throughout the entire process was invaluable. As he promised, everything went on without a problem and we are forever grateful for his talent as our day was everything we dreamed of!
