Facilities and Capacity
This venue features more than 10,000 square feet of event space. The rental of this facility includes the use of two areas: The Ballroom and the Rosehip Room. The Ballroom features a barrel-vaulted ceiling and a crystal chandelier. The Rosehip Room makes a marvelous site for a cocktail hour between a ceremony and reception.
Services Offered
The Elliot hosts wedding ceremonies and receptions, including elopements. This venue also holds other celebrations such as engagement parties, bridal showers, and rehearsal dinners. This venue's staff offers bar service, outside vendor coordination, event planning, setup, cleanup, and the use of event rentals, get-ready rooms, and wireless internet. The peak season for this venue stretches from May to October, providing couples with a wide range from which to select their special day.
Cuisine
For a preferred caterer, The Elliot features a full preparation kitchen. This venue has built relationships with local chefs to reduce stress during a couple's wedding planning. Additionally, this staff provides on-site bar service. Couples and their guests may enjoy an open bar, cash bar, or limited bar. History
The Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church opened its doors in 1910 in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland to serve the needs of Rusyn immigrants. By 1938, this church served almost 900 families. This church's architecture is a blend of Byzantine and Romanesque styles, designed by architects Joseph Duvalosky and M. E. Wells. Closed in 2009, reopened as the Byzantine Catholic Cultural Center, and closed again in 2015, this building was renovated as an event venue to once again serve the community.
