The Felt Estate is a historic wedding venue nestled in the dunes along Lake Michigan, between Holland and Saugatuck, Michigan. The expansive estate features the majestic 1920s Felt Mansion, the Rustic Carriage house, and the quaint Chapel at Shore Acres. All around this beautiful architecture are carefully manicured grounds, a grotto, and lush gardens. The Felt Mansion boasts modern amenities, seasonal tents, and optional overnight accommodations. Here, couples will be able to make use of a convenient and comfortable environment as they host their wedding festivities.
Facilities and Capacity
The Felt Estate features multiple unique ceremony and reception location options. For ceremonies, the Chapel at Shore Acres, the Water Garden, and the Felt Mansion are all great options. The Chapel at Shore Acres allows couples to embrace tradition. It was built at the turn of the century and provides a beautiful backdrop for any ceremony. A little romance can be added with the ringing of the chapel bell as you kiss. There is seating for 75 inside or up to 250 outside. The Water Garden is surrounded by trees in the back and has water in every direction. This area seats up to 250 outside. The Felt Mansion exudes a majestic ambiance with sandstone pillars and gorgeous greenery. Here, there is seating for up to 250 outside. The Felt Mansion and West Lawn Tent are also great spots for receptions, as is the Carriage House for rehearsal dinners and welcome parties.
Service Offered
The Felt Estate offers a variety of services including wedding party suites, parking, custom floorplans, audio equipment, and the ability to hire outside vendors. Tables and chairs are also available to clients.
Accommodations
Couples and their guests will be able to dance the night away before retiring to your bed in the historic Felt Mansion. The mansion sleeps up to twelve guests in six bedrooms. The carriage house sleeps up to twelve guests in two bunk rooms. Amenities include toiletries, linens, public WiFi, media players in the foyer, and the use of the kitchen.
History
This stunning mansion was established in 1928 as a gift to Dorr Felt's wife, Agnes. With this love story inspiring the entire house, couples will be able to feel the romance that emanates from every corner.
