The Legacy Building is a historic wedding venue located in El Paso, Illinois. This amazing facility is a restored and preserved opera house from 1874 and is nestled right in the heart of central Illinois. There are endless breathtaking spaces available for couples and their loved ones to celebrate together. Each one features a memorable, captivating backdrop for photos to be enjoyed for years to come. Facilities and Capacity

The Legacy Building is comprised of the historic opera house, kitchen, stage, green room, cocktail lounge, bank parlor, bridal suite, library, courtyard, museum, and onsite Airbnb rooms at Central Estate sleeping up to 18 guests. Each space offers different, equally important components that make up the venue and can host many wedding events, such as ceremonies, receptions, engagement parties, bridal showers, and rehearsal dinners.

The Opera House is made up of 4,000 square feet of majestic wood floors, 17-foot-high rounded ceilings, exposed brick walls, and antique chandeliers. The Green Room can be used for many different tasks, including a get-ready room, extra seating, photography, or caterer’s use. In all, the Legacy Building can host up to 200 guests. The facility has WiFi and plenty of free street parking.

Services Offered

When couples book their wedding at The Legacy Building, they are welcome to work with the on-site coordinator to plan and execute details. Weekend packages or day use packages are available and include tables, chairs, linens, event staff, bar service, furniture & photo booth rentals, bridal suite, grooms lounge, courtyard, cocktail lounge and more!

The Legacy Building offers catering services but also welcomes outside food vendors.

Their bar services include choices for a cash or open bar. Couples can select house, premium, or specialty beer, wine, and liquor. Proof of a liquor license can be provided. A champagne toast and signature drink can be provided upon request.

LGBTQ+ weddings are welcome. The staff prides themselves in creating safe, incusive spaces for guests to celebrate these once in a lifetime, magical events.
