I cannot say enough about the wedding event staff at the Mountain Home Inn. Ceci Jordan and the entire event staff were phenomenal. Ceci guided us through the planning details, and was always helpful, cheerful, and well-informed. She helped us feel very taken care of, and she was conscious of our budget and our aesthetic choices for the wedding, and helped us make good choices for the event.

Once we arrived for the weekend, we couldn't believe the kindness, attention, and helpfulness of the entire staff. I can't name every person who helped us over the weekend, but Brayson (I hope I am remembering that right!), Selvin, and Daniel stood out as they literally catered to our (and our guests') every whim.

They were especially considerate of my mother-in-law, who was on continuous oxygen and needed special considerations to be kept comfortable. My in-laws were so impressed with the staff and the service that they elected to stay a third night--and that says a lot about how well they were treated.

Every single staff member during the wedding was courteous, kind, and able to change plans on a whim, which we had to do several times. My guests noted how incredibly patient, helpful, and kind the entire waitstaff was during the reception, despite the crowd and the last-minute change of plans.

I cannot overstate how amazing the wedding event staff at the Mountain Home Inn were--I would recommend this venue wholeheartedly.

We chose Mountain Home Inn for our wedding venue for two main reasons; the amazing views and the ability to have the venue to ourselves for the weekend. Ceci and her team were incredibly professional and organized; we really appreciate all the work they did to make our event so successful. The only small complaint we had was that on the day of the wedding, the staff were serving breakfast and lunch to outside guests but refused to make our Best Man something to eat before the ceremony.
I would recommend to any couple considering the venue to order some food for the bridal party if having a later ceremony. But despite that little mishap, everything else was flawless; the food is amazing and the team are so cooperative and helpful, without charging extras for every little detail as some venues do. We'll definitely go back regularly to have lunch on the deck and reminisce about our amazing wedding.

We decided on the MHI because of their incredible view. The few times we'd visited in the past the staff was nice and we thought our small wedding of 30 people would be easy to handle. Boy, were we wrong.

The planning process was more difficult than it needed to be considering we started planning nearly two years in advance. It was really hard to get the manager/event coordinator to call or email back, but when we were there in person they were always so nice. Then it came time for the event. I walked through the door Friday night before the wedding, gown in arm, and the person working was so incredibly rude. That was, until he realized they had given away the room we had booked. Then he gave us a free bottle of champagne and assured us that he would just put us in open rooms (that were more expensive) at no charge. Well, there was an extra $380 charge on my mother's bill for the extra room.

The staff tried to serve dinner before we were even back from taking photos. Why would you try and serve dinner without the bride and groom who shelled out thousands for a private event? Completely unacceptable. A guest of ours was also charged for their "complementary breakfast" the next day because they wanted to take the plate to their room! We were also charged $345 for deck heaters when we were told they were included. When I tried to contact the manager, I was told that he no longer worked there and there was nothing they could do.

The most disappointing part of it all was that we'd planned on making the Inn a place we would come for anniversaries in the years to come. We would not recommend this place for brunch, let alone a meaningful event.
