About

Rather than a long, drawn-out version of my life (which I am sure you wouldn't read anyways), here is a little bit about me, my background, and why I am here!

First of all, my name is Jenn! I grew up in Marin County with three sisters, a dog, two cats, and a whole tank of fish. I graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Communication Studies. While in college, I interned for a full-service (and I mean everything!) wedding coordinator and fell in love with the industry. I landed my first "real" job as a Catering Director where I did everything from the tours to execution. Then I moved on to be a Wedding Venue Consultant where it was my job to "match" my brides with their perfect venue so they didn't fall into the stress of having to tour 15-20-30 venues. I knew the venues and the vision of my couples, and was able to make that perfect match! And most recently, I married my prince charming and had the amazing experience of finally being the bride! And no joke, I hired a wedding coordinator for my own wedding because I know it is hard work!

So why am I here? I know that this is an extremely stressful but blissful time in your life, and I want to help! I am here for the frustrated, confused, overwhelmed, and "so over it" brides and grooms so you don't have to endure the stress that so many others have. We hired The Overwhelmed Bride for month of coordination and Jenn was very responsive and answered all my questions. When it was time to meet, Serena (our coordinator) was very helpful with every step of the way. Not only was she patient but also always willing to accommodate me and my crazy schedule. Their knowledge and expertise was extremely useful. I highly recommend them to make your day magical.

Jenn is amazing. She took so much stress off of me. We had a coordinator through our venue but they did not do half of what Jenn does. She is so quick to respond whenever you need anything. I felt like I truly had someone who was my partner who had everything under control at all times. We hired her about a month before my wedding and she even travelled to AZ for us. She works with all of your vendors so that you don't have to. she was there for everything and I knew that as long as she was there I knew it would all be okay and I could enjoy my wedding day as much as I wanted everyone else to. It's hard to do that when you are worrying about all the logistics and little details. I couldn't have been more grateful for everything she did. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

The one advice that almost all our married friends told us was to hire a day of coordinator. We had initially asked a friend of ours to be our coordinator without realizing how much a coordinator has to do not only on the day of but leading up to the big day. Since we would much rather have her be a guest at our wedding and not working the entire day, we started our search for a day of coordinator that is fast to respond, detail oriented and assertive in time management. We were so happy and very relieved to have found Jenn of The Overwhelmed Bride! She was everything we were looking for and more.

During our planning process, she was so fast in responding that we were never left wondering or worrying. She was very patient and helpful in guiding us when we were putting together our timeline and she was on point when getting all of our vendors commit to a time for setting up. We really didn't need to worry about any of the big or small details with Jenn at the helm. She even brought up great suggestions like having the families sit on opposite sides at the wedding so the groom's family can see my husband at the alter and my family can see me.

On our big day, Jenn was very assertive in making sure everything is running according to the timeline laid out. She would usher everyone to where they needed to be without being too pushy or aggressive. The decorations and all the small details were laid our perfectly and we're so happy that we had her on our team. I can't imagine doing this ourselves or really with anyone else. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is getting married!
