History
In 1916, the Sapp family made the decision to build their home, just feet from the courthouse and a short distance from the Panama City center. Judge Sapp was an early municipal judge for the newly incorporated city, adopting several other public roles including two terms in the House of Representatives. Ms. Sapp’s hospitality was well-known, making the front porch of the family home a celebrated gathering place for the community. Lovingly restored from 1999 onwards by Mayor Lauren DeGeorge, The Sapp House once again became a landmark site to hold special occasions.
