The Sofo Spoon crafts fully bespoke meals for celebrations of all kinds. From intimate elopements with just a private chef to large receptions with 200 guests and a full catering staff, this company does it all. Working with them begins with a detailed phone call, during which they will discuss your ideas, tastes, and budget. An a la carte menu allows you to pick and choose your dishes and add as little or as much as you'd like. This service is available for your main event, as well as for any pre-wedding showers and the rehearsal dinner. Whatever your needs, the chefs look forward to working with you and exceeding all your expectations.

Hi! I'm Chef Danielle. I was born and raised on Long Island and reside here with my husband and our two children. I am an avid cycler and love to travel. Selfcare and overall wellness are things I enjoy to take part in daily. My life consists of spending as much time as possible enjoying the company of friends and family and of course, cooking.
I wholeheartedly believe that the absolute best moments of our lives take place around a table with good food, family and friends. There is something so incredibly nostalgic about the little things we remember about food. The smell of browning butter on a gas stove top, the first bite of a sweet homegrown tomato, or the sound of the ice cream truck on a hot summer's day. These are moments I hope to create for clients to make memories that last a lifetime. It's an honor and a privilege to be able to share my passion with others every day of my life. My approach to food is simple- cook what is seasonal, cook what tastes good, and always end on a sweet note. The Sofo (South Fork) Spoon was born in 2017 and is a full service private chef and event production company.
I earned my culinary and pastry education at The International Culinary Center, formerly The French Culinary Institute in New York City. I graduated with distinction in 2013 from three programs including Classic French Pastry, Cake Design, & Culinary Techniques. My early career was spent in the kitchens of high end catering facilities throughout NYC. I later ran the culinary program for Long Island's Sur La Table. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for working with clients one on one for private events.
I truly enjoy what I do each and everyday and I am so thankful to work with such an amazing team of professionals I am taking along for the ride. Hope to work with you soon!

Chef Kelsie is a classically trained pastry chef with a heavy background in savory applications. She is a graduate of the prestigious Johnson and Wales University. Post graduation, through her early career, Kelsie worked in famed restaurants such as Jean Georges and Bouchon Bakery by Thomas Keller as well as in the culinary program at Sur La Table. She currently holds the role of executive chef with Southdown Coffee. Chef Kelsie enjoys creating food that is nostalgic but giving it a modern twist.

Olivier has a true passion for the food industry. While working in catering, he was inspired to pursue a career as a professional chef. He earned his culinary degree at Stars Academy in 2017. He is thankful to have had the opportunity to work at Eataly in NYC and alongside great chefs who he considers his mentors. His vision for his career is to continue to learn and perfect his craft everyday. Olivier's cultural background is of Haitian decent and he is proud of it!
