The Southern Museum has a variety of rental spaces available for your next event! Whether you are planning your wedding reception, rehearsal dinner or bridal shower, consider The Southern Museum as your venue!

We have a variety of economically priced spaces available:

• The Cobb Energy Gallery is large enough to hold 175 people and would provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding reception, rehearsal dinner or any other large wedding themed occasion.

• The Cobb Energy Annex is a smaller space that holds a maximum of 50 people, and would be an ideal space for smaller receptions, regearsal dinners and showers.

• The Theater is the perfect venue for after hours events and holds a maximum of 100 people. Please be aware that this space is only available after 5 pm.

• The Depot, a circa 1910 fully restored train depot, is a great spot for smaller gatherings and holds up to 40 people.

The Southern Museum is right in the middle of historic downtown Kennesaw and is conveniently close to both I-75 and Cobb Parkway and 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta. We are a small, municipal museum that exhibits railroad artifacts from the Civil War era. We house The General, one of the locomotive engines that was involved in a Civil War maneuver called The Great Locomotive Chase. The other locomotive, The Texas, is housed at The Atlanta History Center. It is a unique atmosphere to hold an event.
