Rich History
Westbrook is one of the most historic sites in America and has been a gathering place since it was settled as Nutfield in 1719. The first white potato in North America was planted in Westbrook’s rich soils and the land was originally known as the Common Field where the Nutfield settlers gathered and harvested community crops. In the 1720s, the Gregg family built a center chimney colonial that stands today as the oldest home in Derry, New Hampshire. Colonel William Gregg was widely known for high-touch hospitality and hosting overnight travelers at the home.

The day of our outdoor wedding ceremony, it decided to torrentially rain for 2 hours before the start. The staff were able to coordinate guests so they waited in the decorated indoor function area. They provided the indoor function hall as an option for the ceremony, but left the final decision of where the ceremony would be held up to me. Magically, the rain held up, allowing us to get married under their beautiful mulberry tree, with birds chirping, providing a fairytale like feel to our outdoor garden ceremony, and we appreciated that so much!
The reception was held in their gorgeous sail cloth tent, providing several options for décor, helping with our budget. The Inn also provided 7 bedrooms, and a honeymoon and salon suit. I was able to arrive, unpack, and destress while getting my hair/makeup done. Every overnight guest was also pleasantly greeted by a handwritten welcome note, and a gift basket, that included delicious homemade jams!
Two weeks after our wedding, and we are still receiving so many compliments, and we know a big part of that is due to our venue selection! We are thrilled we chose the Westbrook Inn to ring in our nuptials, and excited for the future of the Westbrook Inn!

Partners in Life, Business, and Vision... Since meeting over 45 years ago as social workers in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, we have shared a commitment to family and warm hospitality. At a young age, Jerry learned the importance of high-touch hospitality at his father's restaurants and bakeries in Boston and the surrounding area. Together, we owned and operated one of Southern New Hampshire's largest and longest standing preschool and daycares for nearly 40 years, educating thousands of students and hosting annual graduations for 300+ guests. We designed and planned weeklong destination wedfor our daughters and others at our historic home. Additionally, we designed and built several custom luxury homes in New England’s most desirable locations on Lake Winnipesaukee and York, Maine. Our diverse experience allowed us to preserve and curate Westbrook as a place where couples can create bespoke experiences and lifelong memories as we have done so for decades with our family and friends.
