Facilities and Capacity

Thompson Barn is nestled on the historic Lackman-Thompson estate. This former farm building has been renovated into a facility that can host events of up to 200 people in size. The event spaces include the main hall, three downstairs meeting rooms, an atrium, and an outside patio, along with a warming kitchen. Whether a couple desires an uncovered outdoor or an indoor celebration, this venue can readily accommodate their wishes. Wheelchair-accessible features and on-site parking areas offer additional convenience and comfort for all guests.

Services Offered

Thompson Barn hosts wedding ceremonies and receptions as well as engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and elopements. A couple's wedding booking includes a concierge and the setup, cleanup, and use of get-ready rooms, tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, and parking for their event. Coffee urns and electrical outlets are available. All event items must be brought in during the booked time and removed at the end of an event. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed in the building and on the patio with an alcohol permit and the presence of a Lenexa Police officer. In addition to wedding events, this venue is also available for hosting corporate events, parties, and other events.
