Marilyn, Torie-Mekhi's head designer and founder, is an established designer and tailor. Her love for fashion has taken her on a quest to find training in as many avenue of the fashion industry as possible.

Marilyn has spent many years expertly working as a seamstress in a mass production factories in beautiful Island of Jamaica where she’s from. After migrating to the states, she studied pattern making, design and construction of children's wear, swim wear, tailoring, and extensively women's wear. Marilyn is a dedicated individual that views designing, sewing work as an art.

Whether through custom design, mass production or through alterations, the ultimate goal is the same; she want each of her clients looks their best! Marilyn is an alumna from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale in Florida and American Intercontinental University in Atlanta. Prior to her degree years, she worked in several garment industries in Jamaica were she have acquired extensive knowledge of production and manufacturing of garments.

Her skills were enhanced while working at several other entities such as bridal and tailor shops, sewing for herself, family members and friends.

As a dedicated wife of a super fabulous supportive husband, mother of two challenging and affectionate boys she's always busy.
