Touchstone Manor is an estate steeped in local history. Founded in 1770, the original manor house still stands proud at the heart of its fertile and historic grounds. Its characterful wooden facade welcomes guests upon there arrival and is like a picture taken directly from a history book. The property offers several event sites that are ideal for celebrations of all sizes. Couples can, of course, choose to host their big day outdoors surrounded by the bountiful natural beauty of the countryside. The Blue Ridge Mountains provide the ideal backdrop for a ceremony under the wisteria veranda or on the mountain view deck. Afterwards, the party can retreat to the shelter of the Great Room for an intimate reception of 50 or less. Featuring original fixtures such as sash windows, a stone fireplace, and wooden beam posts the space is equal parts welcoming and charming. For larger celebrations, up to 150 guests, the historic barn offers a space defined by rugged woodwork worn over centuries. Guests will find a host of welcoming rooms at night’s end as well as a selection of unique suites/cabins that propose a luxurious and private place to rest one’s head. Furniture rental such as tables and chairs is included with rental of the venue.
