We are a restaurant and wedding catering business based in Quechee, Vermont headed in to our 7th year of operation. We now have a total of THREE taco trailers/trucks and have TRIPLED our booking capacity! If you see our availability blocked off on the calendar, it means that all three slots for that date are already booked, otherwise we still have at least one spot open for your big celebration!
In 2023, our 5th - and busiest - catering season, we were fortunate enough to provide food truck (& trailer) catering for over 90 events! Our crew is well versed in off-site food and beverage service and we look forward to providing guidance based on the specific needs and expectations of each couple with the goal of ensuring that every guest continues to rave about the food (and service) for WEEKS after your party!
TRAIL BREAK offers unique, fresh and fun food to cater to a myriad of dietary restrictions and tastes. Menus are fully customizeable and our ability to handle modifications to fit every guests' needs creates a stress-free menu planning experience for couples excited to try something out of the ordinary.
Charred shishito peppers, house made guac, crispy fried maple-sambal duck wings and spiced grilled watermelon are all great ways to set the tone during cocktail hour.
Speaking of cocktail hour, TRAIL BREAK is fully licensed in the state of Vermont to serve beer, wine and cocktails at any venue you are hosting your epic party at! Draft beers (which you can help choose) and big-batch cocktails like our guava margarita, 'beach bum' rum punch or peach sangria are popular choices for couples seeking a one-stop shop for their food AND bar needs. Our consumption-based pricing model creates an affordable way for party planners to offer a fun (and EFFICIENT) bar without feeling they are paying an unnecessary amount for drinks that might never get consumed.
When it comes time for the main course, tacos are front and center! Grilled fish, carne asada, slow roasted carnitas and black bean tacos are among the favorites that are made to order while each guest helps themselves to exciting sides like grilled street corn, sweet potato hash and avocado-ranch summer salad!

Factors such as travel, labor, tax, gratuity and serviceware will play a role in the final cost of your event with any caterer. While pricing depends HEAVILY on date and distance, our full service catering TOTALS range between $3750 up to $10,000+ with per person totals from $45-$100+. Our average catering event is around $7000. We look forward to getting you a quote!

HEROS of the wedding
Not only was the quality of the food outstanding, everyone was pleased even those with dietary restrictions and picky eaters. Highly recommend the carnitas - everyone is still talking about 2 weeks later (street corn too & spicy watermelon margarita)
I also cannot rave enough about the staff and planning process. Current times make planning your big day a nightmare but Topher was kind, responsive, understanding and genuine. Same with the rest of his staff and event lead on the day of our wedding.
Inclement weather predicted on my wedding day and Topher never once made me feel panicked—-waited until the very last second to make a close call on execution. Dinner and drink service remained throughout passing showers. I’m sure it wasn’t easy to remain positive but the staff did not fluster! I cannot say thank you enough!!! Do not hesitate to hire them if you are on the fence! Our wedding was very traditional and the truck fit right into the vibe. They will be the heros of your wedding like they were for mine !

I started TRAIL BREAK as an idea to bring something that was lacking around the Upper Valley: a fun, vibrant hangout spot that happens to serve some of the best scratch made food around. My focus has always been on the overall experience of dining at a restaurant - not just what's on the plate - and this has naturally extended into our taco trailer business. We are a crew that clearly has fun at events (we'd have to given that we roll up with a giant, bright, plaid wrapped trailer) and focuses on quality. We have been ALL over VT and beyond during our 375+ events and look forward to the next one
