Transformations Artistry LLC provides luxury hair styling & makeup application services for weddings & events located in Charlottesville, DC, Richmond, and surrounding cities. As on-location stylists, we travel directly to our clients, providing beauty services to enhance their outward appearance with a look that lasts all day and showcases their natural beauty. We pride ourselves on our ability to cover all genres of hair and makeup trends, from dramatic glamour to barely-there natural looks, color theory, style themes, shade-matching, etc. and work with all skin tones, colors, textures, and face shapes, counseling our clients through what would look best on them individually. Using airbrush techniques, lash application, and specializing in all types of updos & down-styles, we thrive on versatility, sanitation, exceptional customer service, and a fresh, glowing, and utterly romantic approach to beauty.
We highly encourage our brides to have a bridal hair & makeup trial with us 2-3 months prior to the event to ensure she loves her look and can see her inspiration come to life before the big day.

May 2024 Wedding
On my wedding day, Ashlyn and her team arrived on time and were fully prepared. There were a total of 10 hair services, 5 make up services, and my bridal hair and make up. Between Ashlyn and her two assistants they were very organized and efficient. I'm sure it was very stressful with that many services during a 5 hour time frame but they didn't show it!
Their work was amazing and held up during the rainy wedding day. My bridesmaids kept saying how good the hair and make up was. Even one of my bridesmaids who has been in many weddings said that this was the first time her hair actually looked like the inspo photo.
As far as my hair and make up it was 11/10. Ashlyn gave me a few tips for my hair at the trial that I implemented and my hair was everything I ever dreamed the day of. I decided to still wear my hair down despite the rain and I'm so grateful Ashlyn was fully supportive of this because in the back of my mind I was very worried it might not hold, but Ashlyn worked wonders. And the make up... insane, she is so talented.

What sets them apart is their own personal style and how they click with their clients. Ashlyn not only possesses the talent to make her clients absolutely beautiful, but she is a joy to be around as a person. She's extremely professional, punctual, and offers great communication. I would actually say that her communication skills and her ability to put strangers at ease are among her best assets. The fact that she does hair AND make-up also set her apart.
