About
Twin Oaks Barn at Umstead Ranch is an boho-rustic wedding venue located in Garner (Johnston County), North Carolina. The venue is located just 20 minutes from downtown Raleigh and 40 minutes from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Situated on 70 acres, the working farm is home to beef cattle, miniature horses, and a couple of pygmy goats. The ranch has been in the Umstead family for three generations - first as a tobacco farm, then a beef cattle farm. The event facility opened in May 2021. The majority of the wood in the barn came from pine and oak trees on the property, cut and milled by a sawyer. The venue makes for a tranquil and breathtaking spot to celebrate your momentous occasion in the Carolina countryside.
Facilities and Capacity
Twin Oaks Barn boasts over 6,000 square feet of climate controlled event space. The main ballroom features 30-foot vaulted ceilings with exposed roof trusses and large black metal chandeliers. This building can accommodate 180 guests inside with an expansion outside under tents. Two get-ready suites come with private bathrooms, while one is also outfitted with a television. The large upstairs suite has a "beauty bar" with multiple mirrors, outlets, and lights for day-of preparations. For ceremonies, there is a beautiful lawn where you can tie the knot under the mature oaks. Meanwhile, the covered patio on the side of the barn, dubbed the Overlook, provides a great location for your cocktail hour.
Services offered
Twin Oaks Barn is available for large and intimate ceremonies, receptions, and other events. For your reception meal, the venue is equipped with a prep kitchen where your caterer can prepare dishes and drinks. In addition, rental of the facility comes with 22 handmade farm tables, 360 padded chairs, 2 slab tables, a rolling bar, seven whiskey barrels, and lots of decor. Ahead of the festivities, you will get two hours for a rehearsal. On the big day, you will have exclusive access to the estate for 12 hours. Spread across the many acres, there are numerous locations for portraits and wedding pictures, including existing tin and red barns, hay fields, and ponds.
