Rather than ramble on about how much I love photography and how I was destined to be your dream photographer, I’m gonna simply keep it real, and tell you a little bit about who I really am. The best description of me would be… I’m “that guy”.

You know the one. The one that started to feel old at the age of 30, but now feels even younger at 38. The guy who thought his life would go one way only to have it go in a completely different direction. I’m the guy that has made a ton of mistakes in his life but is the man he is today because of what he learned from them, and continues that same learning process today. I’m the guy that’s proud of what he’s done in life but has so much more he wants to do. I’m that guy, you know the one… the one that orders a diet soda at McDonald’s along with Quarter Pounder with cheese and a large fry. Things just don’t always make sense to everyone else, but to him, they do.

My love for photography didn’t happen like most others. My passion is, and has always been, working with children. I graduated from Rowan University with a degree in Sociology and a Minor in Psychology, and I had some pretty interesting and intense jobs along the way. Once Jay started taking photography seriously, I started to become interested in it myself. So, I had him teach me. When we decided to turn it into a business, I turned it up a notch, and realized that I could possibly make a new career out of it. I loved my job in social work, but it was a dangerous job, and it began to mentally wear on me.

So, here we are, a few years later, and the business has grown into something so much bigger than I ever could have dreamed. I consider myself a very lucky girl. I get to run a successful business, and work alongside of my husband. I continue to learn the art of photography each and every wedding, and plan to continue improving my skills as I go.

I love weddings. All the laughter and tears – all the work, time and love that was dedicated just to get to this point. In the midst of all the happenings, emotions, I get to be there, capturing it all. I look at it as a true honor photographing weddings.

My love for photography started when I bought my first SLR Film camera in the summer of 2002. I photographed everything and anything in front of me. The passion only grew stronger and started working at portrait studios – I enjoyed photographing every single family that came in to the studio. Soon, I started offering free sessions to neighbors and friends when I bought my first Canon camera. Photographing weddings came into the picture when my cousin, who is a professional wedding photographer invited me to assist him, which turned to second shooting, then to photographing my first wedding gig on my own!

Fast forward to now, I’ve learned so much, grown so much and upgraded my camera gear – thank GOD! I can’t see myself stopping anytime soon. Every wedding is an opportunity to be part of someone’s life which is totally the best part of creating these images for you to treasure forever!
