Established in 1987, the University Club is Durham’s premier private dining club. The Club is home to members who conduct business and entertain socially in a fine dining atmosphere. Located in the 11,000 square foot 17th floor penthouse of the University Tower, the University Club offers gourmet dining with luxurious furnishings, gleaming chandeliers and tastefully arranged rooms. Throughout the Club, sparkling windows offer magnificent panoramic views of Durham, Chapel Hill, Duke University and Duke Forest.

With six finely appointed private rooms, the University Club offers a variety of settings that can accommodate every event from an elegant wedding reception to an upbeat sales seminar. Conveniently located near Duke University, UNC Chapel Hill and NC Central University, the University Club provides the perfect location for educational programs and academic celebrations.

Dress code is business casual.

Amazing Vendor!

Having our wedding reception at University Club was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding! Our experience with Jessica was phenomenal! Jessica truly made wedding planning stress-free. Her attention to detail and willingness to take on the leading responsibility on the wedding day allowed us to fully enjoy our day. Jessica was very accommodating and truly listened our need to create the best celebration we could ask for. We found Jessica to be incredibly attentive, energetic, friendly, and extremely organized. She worked well with our other wedding vendors to ensure smooth progression of the day. Highly recommend University Club with such an amazing view, exceptional service, and top notch dining experience. Jessica, we cannot thank you enough for all your time and effort into making our special day. You are AWESOME!!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner here. Since the larger banquet room was not being used they actually upgraded us to that room for the same price as the smaller room. It's a pretty inclusive venue and not much needed to be brought in. The food and service was excellent. The pricing was very reasonable. Very easy and straight forward to work with,

We recently hosted our wedding reception at University Club - and the experience was 100% positive one from start to finish. Amanda (the event coordinator) walked us through every step, giving us plenty of flexibility while also offering guidance in making decisions in perfect measure. She and her staff did almost all the decorating - The food was great, the space intimate and perfect for our wedding of ~100. thank you very much for hosting us! (and to top it all off, this was one of the most affordable places we found in Durham to host a reception)
