I cannot recommend UTEC enough! We had our wedding there two weeks ago and from start to finish UTEC (and Joelle in particular) was amazing to work with.

It's hard finding a venue for 200 guests that isn't just a large hotel ballroom, but UTEC is a gorgeous old building with so much unique character. They have a pick and choose style menu for the venue and allow outside vendors so we were able to save a lot by finding what worked best for us. And most importantly, UTEC does amazing work for the community!

I held my wedding at the newly renovated space at UTEC. It was amazing! The space is a historic church that has been turned into a green/enviro-friendly function hall. It has a grand entrance, staircase for gorgeous pictures, hall that seats 200, and a full kitchen. There is also a built in sound system, rigging available to install rental lighting, and a projection screen with a huge curtain to show slideshows, videos etc. It is also fully ADA accessible, which is rare for a unique, historic location.

And coolest of all, it is a non-profit youth-serving organization, so your rental fee goes directly to helping people in the Lowell community, which is something you can feel good about.

The staff here was also amazing, wonderful, helpful and resourceful. Since we were the first large function in the new space we had a million questions, and there was always someone available to help us through the planning process.

The space has some great features, like a cathedral ceiling, dry erase walls (yes, you can write on them with dry erase markers. Let me tell you, this was the COOLEST feature of our cocktail hour. The guests loved it, and it made for the coolest pictures) beautiful windows, hardwood floors, and accent lights. So you can keep your decor to a minimum and the room is still amazing. We only had a few floral arrangements costing us about $250, and we didn't need anything else.

If you are looking for a unique place in the Merrimack Valley to hold your function, this is definitely it!

Loved, loved LOVEDDDDD my February wedding at the UTEC! They met all of my needs, we used their venue, catering, lights and sounds guy! The food was delicious as Sam is such a great cook, we worked with them to have a plated sit down meal! We got the room for the ceremony, for rehearsal, they let us come early to get dressed at the place and set up the room! Had such a great time and it's a pretty huge space! Our wedding of 100 was nothing, I was worried their wouldn't be enough room as we had the ceremony and reception all in one room and didn't change it over (everyone was seated at tables during the ceremony) but it was PERFECT! Would totally recommend them, they're a great deal for the price!
