Velvet is a beautiful vintage Volkswagen Camper Van that can go anywhere in the beautiful natural environments within the Central Florida area. She provides a wonderfully fun backdrop set for your Weddings, Photo shoots, and/or family gatherings. Many use her as a stage or photo booth. Velvet is available by reservation only for 4 or 6 hour sessions, or up to 8 hours for an all day rate. She will arrive at least 45 minutes early to allow time to position her and set your stage. There is a minor assessment fee for distances greater than 35 miles from our zip code 32701, Altamonte Springs Florida.

Velvet gets her name by her original Volkswagen paint color "Velvet Grün" (Velvet Green, like a Billard table), and has a Safari Windshield, which consists of two tempered glass panels that can be raised and locked in the up position to profide a clear shot straight out from the front seat for the "Big Game White Hunter", or for a camera to shoot the occupants inside the bus. It is great fun to tell the little ones that the only button they can push is the big one with the famous Wolfsburg Castle inscribed on it. That's the horn button at the center of the steering wheel, and she emits a loud high pitched "BEEP!" when pushed. Get ready to capture their sheer joy on their faces when they hear that!

In the Main Salon, behind the driver's bench, is a bar top, floor space, and a bench seat. If you like, there is surround sound FM stereo and a music synced disco ball. This bench seat is what we call a "Rock and Roll" seat, in that it rocks up to a bench, or rolls down to a twin size + bed. There are USB ports available to provide power/recharging for cell phones and iPads.

Velvet is at her natural height off the ground, the floor being 18'' above grade, which allows her to travel over rather rought natural terrain. A VW bus is actually a fairly narrow, lightweight vehicle, allowing her to pass thru tight spaces, like in between houses, to gain access to settings other vehicles can not, or that might cause damage to landscaping and lawns.

It is fun for us to come to a photographers shoot, see how they might use their creativity to add embellisments in external decorations, seating, and special items to make an exciting set for their clients and the photos obtained. We get a wonderful blessing in seeing small children delight in taking command at the steering wheel, and push on her horn button. Beep! Beep!
