Recently restored to the highest standards. The interiors and exteriors have both been tastefully and stylishly maintained with designs and colours befitting a beachfront property in this historically important town.
Located on the seafront, Villa Romano enjoys easy access to the beach for picturesque beach weddings and some of the best “bagni” in the area, as well as having its own large garden and fabulous swimming pool with outdoor dining and relaxation areas. Beautifully landscaped, the garden is the design of a well-known and prominent Italian landscape gardener based in London.

Villa Romano has many setup possibilities for your events:
The poolside area The combination of the serene pool, lush greenery, and elegant decorations will make it a truly magical location for a wedding reception. Soft lighting, floral arrangements, and carefully chosen decorations will enhance the natural beauty of the space, making it perfect for a wedding reception. Round or rectangular tables will be set up around the pool, each covered with elegant tablecloths in the wedding's color scheme. Each table will feature centerpieces with flowers, candles, or lanterns to add a touch of romance.
The indoor veranda and living room area : this is a space that can easily be transformed into an intimate and enchanting wedding venue, perfect for a memorable ceremony. This is a very large space with traditional terracotta tiles and the veranda, filled with natural light from the large windows, will create a serene and intimate environment for the wedding and can accommodate up to 40 seated people. The ample natural light from the windows will be complemented by additional soft lighting, such as fairy lights, candles, or lanterns. This will ensure a warm and inviting ambiance, especially as the evening approaches. Any remaining lounge furniture will be positioned to create cozy seating areas for guests to relax before and after the ceremony.
The piano will remain in the room, adding a classic touch. If there is a pianist, live music will fill the air, enhancing the romantic atmosphere.
The square garden is one of the ideal solutions for those who love to celebrate their event entirely outside and can be used as a splendid location for symbolic civil rites under splendid maritime pines or, for those who want to cut the cake with a breathtaking effect.
The back garden: ideal for a pizza party or barbecues has a covered area that can sit up to 50 guests adjacent to the cottage/annexe ( on the ground floor it has an indoor kitchen and living area and a double bedroom with an extra single bed and a bathroom on the first floor)
Beach: wedding ceremonies and receptions can also be arranged on the beach which is just in front and across the road from the house (arrangements need to be done with local “bagni”).

The villa can also be rented to stay there before and after the event and is equipped with 7 double rooms with ensuite bathrooms (one located in the cottage/annexe).

Inside, the owner has intricately and tastefully created the most fabulous seaside home. Only the very best furnishings and appliances have been incorporated and the state of the art kitchen is a dream! The veranda room at the front of the house is steeped in character with a rich variety of relaxing colours and a delightful venue for evening drinks or just relaxing with a book at any time of the year. The adjacent living room oozes comfort with gorgeous sofas, soft lighting and pianoforte and throughout the villa there is a fascinating collection of objets d'art and paintings. Each of the six bedrooms is spacious and enjoys en suite shower/bathrooms of the very highest standard. One of the bedrooms is conveniently situated on the ground floor with direct access onto the garden. Every comfort has been considered and each of the bedrooms enjoys its own colour scheme and dècor combining extremely tasteful colours with high quality furnishings.
Surrounding area:
The owner has lovingly created a beautiful home and has thought of every little detail. There is a fabulous selection of places to dine in Forte di Marmi as well as many prestigious shops and numerous open-air activities including the fabled weekly Wednesday market. Behind Forte di Marmi is the backdrop of the Apuan mountains (famous for the best marble in the world) with extensive walking trails. Nearby is the enchanting town of Pietrasanta and not far away glorious walled city of Lucca with its myriad of churches and delightful streets. Further up the coast are Lerici, Portovenere and the Cinque Terre whilst Florence is an easy train ride away.

Margherita is Italian from Milan and lives in the UK since 2006. Recently moved the beautiful English countryside with a family of four and our beautiful german sheperd. She lived in London for 15 years.I converted our family hom ein Forte dei Marmi four years ago and started renting it to holiday makers and for events and weddings. Villa Romano was the house of jmy uncle a famous journalist, writer and artist. In the house there is a collection of his art.
