I'm Melissa Honer, principal planner and owner of Vowed Events, a wedding planning company based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

I've worked in the event industry for over six years. Starting my career in catering, I had the unique chance to work at the top venues in the Charlotte area. My husband, Hans, and I relocated to Philadelphia, where I was fortunate enough to work with some of the Northeast's most renowned event professionals. I've recently found myself back in Charlotte, North Carolina, and could not be more excited.

My passion for events comes from storytelling, hearing about others' lives, their loved ones, and what makes them... well, them! I believe each wedding day is something that should be completely unique to every couple, a day that celebrates the life two people have built with one another. My inspiration comes from all over, but mainly from my couples. Each of them inspires me in different ways to create an incredible celebration they can share with generations to come.
