About Walnut Hill Farm

Just an hour outside of Washington, DC in the foothills of the Shenandoah Mountains, this unique 500+ acre wedding venue enjoys a 360 degree vista of the beautiful Shenandoah Mountains and Appalachian Trail. Named for it's beautiful canopy of walnut trees, Walnut Hill boasts a stately 19th century manor home, 18th & 19th century log cabins, a barn overlooking a quarter acre pond, carriage house, covered pavilion with a large stone fireplace, well-manicured outdoor tent sites/spaces, fire pit areas, and various outbuilding, making us complete for any wedding or special event. Well lit on-site parking is steps away from all amenities. Our attention to detail and our devotion to the client is unmatched. This is a special place that won't feel like a "wedding factory". You and your guests will truly feel at home and be stunned by the rich, authentic history of Walnut Hill. Facilities and Capacity

With a maximum capacity for up to 250 guests, Walnut Hill is the perfect setting and accommodating for weddings and celebrations both big and small. The venue features multiple event spaces, including a lovely covered Pavilion area, rustic barn, and many gathering spaces. The numerous manicured outdoor spaces provide ceremony and reception spaces of your choosing; a lovely meadow adjacent to the apple orchard accommodate tents up to 60’ x 90’ (250 guests) and the pavilion knoll area can accommodate tents up to 40’ x 60’ (120 guests), all included in your wedding package. The sweeping views of the mountains, stone architecture, and various outbuildings provide an absolutely breathtaking backdrop for all event locations.

Cuisine

We do not offer in-house catering services. However, we are more than happy to provide you with a list of professional caterers known for providing the very best wedding day services. You can also choose a caterer of your choice as long as they are licensed, insured, and provide references.
